Flight Training

You have a number of options available when learning to fly, adding an instrument rating, a commercial rating or an endorsement to your license. Each of these requires a significant investment in time, energy and financial resources. One of the most significant decisions that you must make is deciding on an instructor. Before you make this decision be sure to assess what is important to you in an instructor and what your expectations for this learning experience are. Think about how you learn best, what type of personality will fit yours and the way you learn. You are going back to school and to succeed you must make the commitment to do whatever is necessary to achieve your goal. The relationship with your teacher is critical, especially if you are an older learner. My approach to this process is to function as a coach and a facilitator to the learning process. It is important to make this process fun while at the same time being serious and focused on the challenge at hand.

I specialize in technically advanced aircraft to include initial, transition and recurrent training. I also have significant experience with most avionics suites and individual units available to the general aviation pilot today.

Based on my years of experience, both in the classroom and the airplane, it is clear that personalized training which includes flight simulation is the most effective way to teach the skills required to learn to fly, learn new aviation skills or maintain existing skills. To underscore this belief, we opened a simulator training center to accomplish these goals using the Redbird SD Advanced Aviation Training Device. To learn more visit Aviation Simulator Training.
