ABOUT MICHAEL PHILLIPS
I am a seasoned teaching professional with a passion for aviation and all phases of flight instruction. I have a diverse background personally and professionally which provides me with the ability to work with a wide variety of personalities and backgrounds. I have been a Certified Flight Instructor since 1975 and have had an opportunity to teach in a number of regions of the country which provides me with an understanding and appreciation for weather and challenges that other parts of the United States offer to pilots.
In addition to my flight instruction I am an owner and Chief Flight Instructor and Center Manager for Aviation Instruction Simulator Training Center at CMA.
I am based in Southern and Central California and call Santa Paula (SZP), Camarillo (CMA), Oxnard (OXR), Van Nuys (VNY), Santa Monica (SMO), Santa Barbara (SBA), Santa Maria (SMX), Santa Ynez (IZA), San Luis Obispo (SBP) and Monterey (MRY) my home airports but will travel to work with a pilot at their home airport upon request for training at any level.

Master Instructors LLC takes great pride in announcing a significant aviation accomplishment on the part of Michael L Phillips,Principal and Chief Flight Instructor at Aviation Instruction Simulator Training. Recently, Michael's accreditation as a Master CFI (Certificated Flight Instructor) was renewed for the Fourth time by Master Instructors LLC, the international accrediting authority for the Master Instructor designation as well as the FAA-approved Master Instructor Program. He first earned this national professional accreditation in 2008 and has held it continuously since then.
